As this is written, and the global economy "sputters" - many people continue to worry about their savings / investments / homes / retirements + their jobs / businesses / professions. Despite a couple of signs of recovery, some are saying this is the worst downturn since World War II. More and more people are searching for financial alternatives. Many are choosing to set up a Home Business as the best answer - and this might include - Affiliate Marketing - Direct Sales - Viral Marketing - MLM - InterNetwork Marketing - Internet Marketing - Social Media Marketing - Membership Sites, among others.

Network Marketing - Over the past two decades, many (perhaps the majority) have selected Network Marketing as their business model - with ONLINE marketing being the primary goal - and INTERNET Network Marketing being the primary choice (InterNetwork Marketing). This is one of the main reasons why this Web Page was developed.

NEW, more effective, and more professional business and marketing strategies have replaced them. It's true. Yes, the entire Network Marketing landscape has changed - it will continue to evolve - and we need to adapt, in order to not only survive, but to prosper. We need to have "balance" in our efforts, and be willing to "adjust course" quickly where necessary (particularly given today's economy).

Examples - In MLM, no longer are company "replicated" websites working, to gain leads - or simply "buying" (the poor quality) leads - or "shoving" MLM Biz Opps & Products at people, through nice Lead Capture pages - or pitching your Biz Opp deal wherever you go (applying tactics like F.O.R.M. to hide the real agenda). No longer are these ways enough - IF all they're doing is bringing prospects directly to your deal. Think about it - this is what 'everybody else' is still doing - "making presentations" - "attending opportunity calls / meetings" - "getting people to webinars" - doing STPs ("Showing The Plans").

I'm not saying these methods are "bad" (because for many, they still work well) - it's just that there are "other" methods that work more successfully, in today's climate.

Conversations - The truth is you can effectively and comfortably connect with anyone, anywhere, anytime - if you eliminate the mindset of thinking that your first objective is to “share”, “tell”, “pressure”, “manipulate”, “persuade” [or "close"] potential partners and customers to do something that you want them to do. It’s not about them listening to you, with a scripted fire-hose "presentation". It’s about you listening to them. “Seek first to understand and then be understood” Stephen Covey wrote.

NO - people are NOT looking to hear your pitch or searching for your deal - they're looking for "information that will HELP them" - for "solutions to their problems". We want to openly attract people who actually want the kinds of things we offer, by providing information and resources they deem valuable. Today, we're living in the Information Age. Let's explore this a bit more - - -

OLD -vs- NEW - Much of the OLD methodology puts the emphasis on a "selling" mode -where people are "pushing" their Business Opportunities and Products & Services at their prospects (often 'bugging' people) - instead of "pulling" those same prospects towards them, by using the NEWER methodology. The newer way is to first, build a solid RELATIONSHIP with prospects, after which in many cases, they will contact YOU - they initiate the process, not you.

In other words, instead of 'chasing after' your prospects (by buying leads, making cold calls, holding meetings, putting on presentations, passing out DVDs, flyers etc), the new model teaches you how to "attract" people to you - by first, "becoming attractive" to them - by first, providing them with real VALUE - by first, gaining their trust - becoming a caring, helpful "solutions provider" to them. When all is said and done, you become the 'hunted' - not the 'hunter' (as taught by Mike Dillard). Otherwise, you're using un-leveraged manual labor methods. Without question, in today's world, you're going to have to find a way to get invited - not as an unwelcome pest - but as a welcomed guest. And "who finds who" first is very important when it comes to establishing that position between you and your prospect, and getting the open-door invitation.

This NEWER way becomes a very comfortable, professional, (and profitable! :-) way to build a business - especially when tied to a good Education / Marketing / Management BUSINESS SYSTEM. Utilizing this newer concept - along with the 'right kind' of Google Advertising / SEO / PPC (PayPerClick), etc - is transforming my own Home Biz success. Learning how to build a successful business ONLINE is not difficult when you have the right direction and the best tools.

B-A-L-A-N-C-E - I believe the best results come from a 'combination' of both methods - the [best of the] OFFline strategies + the [newer] ONline marketing strategies. Personally, I believe this approach holds the answer for 'anyone' struggling to succeed in a Home Business.

Again - not that the OLD ways are all 'bad' - NO. And not that WARM market building isn't good (it certainly can be, especially for beginners). Also, if you have access in your business to what you truly believe is a "revolutionary" product or service - why wouldn't you want to tell your family and close friends about it? Of course you would - it's only natural. An important factor to consider is this - up until recently, it was far too costly for Home Biz entrepreneurs to advertise and promote their businesses / opportunities in a big way. Yes, the BIG companies could - by using TV / Radio / Print Media / Billboards, etc - but not small business professionals anf MLMrs. Instead, they resorted to far less costly ways - making a list of family / friends / co-workers - buying leads - cold calling - putting out flyers - using the '3-foot rule' - putting on hotel meetings - on and on. Many of these methods are still being used - and they still work. But they also often bring objections / rejection and stress - requiring 'psychological' lifts from uplines to help lessen that ("you need to get a stronger belief level" - "you need to submit your WHY") - often quite controlling and "manipulative", unfortunately.

MARRIAGE Proposal? - How many marriages do you think would become truly "successful" - long term - if they took place right after the very first date? Virtually NONE - because there would be NO opportunity to get to know each other - to sort out differences - to see if there's true compatibility - to develop any kind of real trust / respect / friendship or "relationship" first. In other words - there would be no 'courtship' before that 'marriage proposal'! I'm guessing the divorce rate ((rate of attrition)) would be HUGE. Yet that is exactly what is happening - far too often - in our MLM-Network Marketing businesses => prospects are being clobbered "on the very first date" with our Biz Opps / Products / Services / Comp Plans! That's what is being promoted first - because sadly, most MLM companies and Uplines are teaching this - to brand the "products / company / opportunity". The only way to solve this is => to use the Attraction Marketing business model and => to brand Y-O-U, Inc.

It's All BACKWARDS - To expand on the last point - most MLM companies [naturally] want you to "sell the Products and the Biz Opp" first - and [in most situations] that's completely backwards - because our Biz Opps especially, are really "back end products" which should only be sold/offered to those who are "already" our Clients or Customers. Trying to sell/offer the Biz Opp right off the bat creates at least two (2) major problems => 1)- a Biz Opp is far too difficult to sell - up front [the competition is usually much too "fierce"" as well - everybody else is doing that] => 2)- unless your 'conversion' rates are insanely high, there's usually not enough cash flow from the Biz Opp - in the beginning - to "fund" your marketing costs.

The need for a good "lead generating" Marketing SYSTEM for your Home Business cannot be over-emphasized. In addition to providing your prospects with "rich, high value content" - it will be KEY to your future Home Biz success.

If you choose to do it by yourself (the 'best' option) - here's basically what you'll need:

(2)- A specific Niche to write about, give advice on, post content on at your Blog (use Keyword research)

(5)- A Thank You / Sales Page (appears right after they optin to your L/C Pg)

(6)- An I.O. (Irrestible Offer) - FREE, high value Information - then, a small cost resource (Funded Proposal)

(7)- A Website // Blog (WordPress.org, hosted at HostGator) or SquareSpace - to serve as your "central HUB"

(9)- A good Phone program (landline) for additional "more direct" follow-up than an Autoresponder

(10)- Coaching, Empowering and Managing your Team of Biz Partners (might include SOC, Oprius, IM, etc)

The NEXT BEST Solution? - Many marketers feel they simply do not have the time, patience, money or technical skills to either create their OWN Marketing System -OR- to OUTSOURCE this task to others ((despite these 'preferred' options)). Instead, they do not wish to 'reinvent the wheel' - they would rather plug into a READY MADE solution - an attractive Funded Proposal // Sales Funnel // Business Marketing System that "someone else" has already developed.

So, as you gain the EDUCATION from the 'right' sources (the key element) - then choose your 'niche', and start 'promoting' yourself out on the Internet (via Blogs / Websites / Video Marketing / on Forums / eZine Advertising / Article Marketing / Social Media Networking, etc) - you will lead with Free Information Products [eBook, eCourse, Special Report, Training, etc] -- and later on, you will introduce higher value Information Products that are "monitized" [Funded Proposals] - in order to "educate" people and to start building trust with them. Then, as you continue to strengthen your RELATIONSHIPS within the Sales Funnel, prospects will gradually be exposed to the main PRIZE (your primary MLM business) as well - and, IF they are looking - and the chemistry is right - and you share similar interests, vision and values - you may partner with them in your business! :-)

Coaching & Support - And this is where you solidify the 'relationship building' (when they join you in your business) - through continual communication with, COACHING, and guiding your TEAM to greater success in their (and your!) business. All of the steps mentioned above give you the 'right' sequence to follow - it's a beautiful thing.

Bottom Line - Smart marketers NEVER chase after clients / customers / patients / associates / prospects - instead, they attract these people to themselves first, by building TRUST with them. How? => they offer them something of very high (insane) VALUE first (usually for FREE). The result? => they (you) end up being the ones sought after. Imagine what it would be like to have 5-10-20 people contacting YOU each day!

OFFline Marketing // WARM Market? - YES, these building strategies continue to be very powerful, for sure - but the above criteria still appiles. Warm market building can be especially good for new Home Biz entrepreneurs, in kickstarting their cash flow -IF- it's done correctly. OFFline marketing is absolutely desirable, as it gives a "balance" to your overall Home Biz building strategies. Our Team of Consultants recommends some 'specific' ways to do this. The INTERNET has simply enabled us to E-X-P-A-N-D our reach and our marketing to a global audience, and it makes available to us, SO many new avenues for developing relationships - both personal and business - with other people (and most are FREE).

Risks - As good as the Business Model of MLM//Network Marketing is [and it is] - it is by NO means "perfect" - there are a lot of RISKS! In addition to my own professional practice as a Financial Advisor and Business Consultant, and my role as a Home Biz Coach - I am also a 20+ year veteran in the Internet Marketing - Direct Sales and the MLM-Network Marketing industries. I'm now totally focused on the MLM//Inter-Network Marketing sector - but it's an area where we need to tread carefully, and become well informed.

Skillset - Unfortunately, most companies today - and most uplines - do NOT understand - and/or are NOT teaching - the new marketing methodology that we need in order - to turn our businesses around + to get on a solid path for SUCCESS. Especially as it relates to using the INTERNET. Most Uplines are very good people, working hard to succeed, just like you and I are - but perhaps they themselves have not [yet] been taught the Attraction Psychology we're talking about here. And whether we admit it or not - the fact is - the Internet has become the future of Network Marketing for the vast majority of MLMrs.

Confession - Please know that I too, have experienced all of the frustrations, stresses and discouragements in MLM that you probably have. I was no different. Yes, even though my wife, Mary Ann, and I have both been very successful in our careers - mine, with a private Consulting Practice - hers as a Registered Nurse [both = linear income] - when it came to the Network Marketing industry, it was a totally different ballgame for us. The success factors in one profession are not necessarily 'transferable' to another. No!

Failure! - As well, I am a Home Biz Coach - but only 'after' having been a Home Biz Entrepreneur for 20+ years first - having made every possible error and mistake along the way! It was not until it hit me hard that I was totally 'out of step' with what I needed to do to change my progress - that I found a level of real success and happiness in the Home Biz industry. We suffered all the same failures in MLM that most do - and drove our credit card balances through the roof, trying to get ahead [by buying worthless Leads / Tools / Systems / Courses / eBooks / etc].

The reality is - we too, were being taught [wrong] marketing and business building strategies, by those who themselves didn't know any better - even including some of today's [so-called] biggest gurus! Professional - My wife and I are both professionals - we see the Network Marketing industry as a profession. We are now - because of the ATTRACTION MARKETING teachings + advances in Internet education - building our MLM business very successfully - and professionally. And in this current "economic tailspin", where many are really hurting - this becomes critically important.

Here's M-O-R-E - Most people believe that the selection of a solid Home Biz is JOB ONE. Well, if you agree with that - here are some things to look for => watch for - excellence in - Track Record - Financial Strength - Management Integrity - Products & Services - Policies & Procedures - Systems - Compensation - Residual Income - Leverage - Corporate & Upline Leadership - Support. More factors in the equation for SUCCESS and FINANCIAL FREEDOM => a Big DREAM -- a Strong BELIEF -- a Laser FOCUS -- a DETERMINATION -- SELF DESCIPLINE -- PERSISTENCE -- PERSISTENCE and PERSISTENCE - BUT:

We need to learn -- how to ATTRACT these people to us, in large numbers -- how to become their SOLUTIONS PROVIDERS -- how to not have to approach THEM - but to have them contact US -- how to give them very high VALUE, up front -- the kind of information that will really HELP them succeed at whatever it is they are shooting for ((maybe we could provide for them - top EDUCATION - an eBook - an eCourse - a Funded Proposal - Tools & Resource)). We want to become like MAGNETS to them.

(1)- SELF Branding - We need to become entrepreneurs who are in complete "control" of our OWN futures - not the companies we associate with (as good as they may be). We also need to "distinguish" ourselves from the competition - "separate" ourselves from the pack - by bringing to the table, our own USP and unique VALUES for those who become attracted to us. We need to hold ourselves "at arms length" from the companies -- never "wrap ourselves around" the companies -- never become a Mr. Amway, or Mrs. Avon. This is about building your "own" quality LIST - through the ATTRACTION Business Model. It's your most valuable financial / business asset - an asset that you OWN. This is not about continuing to build the "Company's" list (your Downline) - a high value asset which they own, unfortunately. This is about branding OURSELVES -- it is not about branding the Companies or Products or Services ==> this is about YOU, Inc - protecting your financial future.

(2)- Cash Flow & DIVERSIFICATION - We need to build a wall of protection around ourselved first, in order to gain 'long term' success (so that we're not at the mercy of the companies - so that we're not so vulnerable). FACT => you also need to learn how to "attract prospects to YOU" and to create 'multiple sources' of passive income, in order to stay afloat 'while' you're building your MLM distributor base. And NONE of this is meant to put 'down' the many fine companies that are out there - it's strictly to put 'safety-nets' under you, where you need to.
